About the Author :
 
He is Abu 'Abd al-Rahman 'Abd al-Aziz bin Ahmad  bin al-Hamid al-Qarashi al-Pirharwi, rahmatullahi 'alayhi.  This great scholar and hadith master was born in the city of Multan, Pakistan. He was from amongst the foremost scholars of his age; testament to this fact are his many academic works and writings in both the rational [ma'qulat] and transmitted [manqulat] sciences of Islam. The names of a few are listed here :
 
 
  *** Kawthar al-Nabi - on hadith nomenclature and forgeries,
  *** Al-Nibras - notes and marginalia on the famous commentary of Imam al-Taftazani in Dialectical Theology [ilm al-kalam],
