and the founder of the Muhaddith al-A'zam Worldwide Mission. He is
without doubt one of the most eminent scholar's and one of the leading
authorities of Islam today. Not only is he considered a matchless
speaker, a great thinker (mufakkir) of our times, moreso is considered one of the true signs of Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala.
He was given the title of Ra'is al-Muhaqiqeen by the venerable Allama Shaykh Sayyid Ahmad Kazmi, may Allah have mercy upon him, who himself was the Ghazali e Zaman of his time. The title of Shaykh al Islam
was conferred in the 1970's when a gathering of Ulema, Mashaykh and
Sadat e Kiram started addressing Madani Miya as such. Amongst the Ulema
present were Mufti Azam e Hind, Allama Shaykh Mufti Mustafa Raza Khan, alayhi ar-Rahman, and Madani Miya's Spiritual Mentor; Hadrat Sarkar e Kalan - Allama Sayyad Muhammad Mukhtar Ashraf al-Ashrafi, alayhi ar-Rahman.
Shaykh
Madani miyan is the author of at least 50 books, not all are published
and recently completed a commentary of the Qur'an, Tafsir Ashrafi which has been widely accepted by the Ulama al-Ahl al-Sunnah as a scholarly masterpiece due to the shaykhs perspicacious attention.
