Description :

Praise be to Allah (the Exalted); this book has been written with its own style and interpretation which is useful and was well received. It was compiled by Allama Muhammad Ibn Sirin, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi.

Extract from the Introduction : It was reported from Hadrat Ali ibn Abu Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, who said, ''There is no vision for the frightened person but of what he likes. His interpretation means to relieve his matter, and the dispel of his fear. A person may dream of himself obtaining a large quantity of dried dates and he receives in reality one hundred dirhams. Another person may see the same dream and he obtains, as to him, one thousand dirhams. This same amount of dried dates could be seen by a third person to whom it represents the sweetness of his faith and the validity in it. Indeed all this depends upon the determination of man, his fate and the respect he shows to his religion.

Contains 59 Chapters of a broad range of dreams and concepts, with Index to the rear for easy look-up. This version is the Revised Edition.

Allama Muhammad Ibn Sireen (Sirin) was a contemporary of the great sufi Shaykh Hasan al-Basri, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi. His father was said to have been a tinker of Djardjaray, who was carried off as a slave by Khalid bin al-Walid, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, from Ayn al-Tamr. His mother Safiya was a client of Hadrat Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu. Ibn Sirin belonged to the second generation of transmitters of tradition, his authorities were Abu Hurayrah, Abd'ullah bin Umar Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with them. He settled in Basra and was noted for his ascetic piety like his sister Hafsa, and was considered an authority on the interpretation of dreams.
