Description:
Ghaflat = heedlessness, unmindful, reckless, thoughtless, etc!
Dear Islamic Brothers! Truly, the chances of falling prey to
ghaflat [heedlessness] are greater when one has an abundance of worldly wealth. One who adores the materialistic worldly blessings has indeed fallen prey to
ghaflat [heedlessness]. Carelessness distances one from Allah,
subhanahu wa ta'ala.
If one's business is a blessing, wealth is a blessing, a luxurious house is a blessing, an expensive vehicle is also a blessing, children are also a blessing, but extensively immersing oneself in any worldly blessing to the extent of
ghaflat [heedlessness] forgetting Allah,
subhanahu wa ta'ala, is a cause of
ghaflat, i.e. reckless thought!
Allah,
subhanahu wa ta'ala Says in the Qur'an in Juz 28,
Surah al-Munafiqun, Verse 9:
“O People who Believe! May not your wealth or your children cause you to neglect the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does this – so it is they who are in a loss.”
Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman.
