The Burdah or the Prophet's, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, Cloak is a poem composed by Imam al-Busairi, may Allah be pleased with him. It is a great classical Arabic poem in praise of the noble character and exalted status of the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.


             Imam al-Busairi composed the poem in the 13th Century (C.E.) after
             suffering a stroke which left him partially paralysed. In a dream, he
             recited the poem to the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him
             and grant him peace, who when touched the paralysed part of his
             body and threw his cloak over him. On awakening, he discovered
             he had been miraculously cured of his paralysis.



This book in urdu gives details of how the Qasidah Burdah can assist those afflicted by illness or stress by them reciting different parts of the Burdah shareef.
