Kashf e Burdah is the Commentary in urdu of Imam al-Busairi's, rahmatullahi 'alayhi, famous poem of the cloak, the Qasidah Burdah. It is written by the well known scholar and teacher Allama Nafees Ahmed Misbahi, of the renowned Islamic University, Jamia Ashrafiya, in Mubarakpur.


Imam al-Busairi, rahmatullahi ta'ala 'alayhi, composed the poem in the 13th Century (C.E.) after suffering a stroke which left him partially paralyzed. In a dream, he recited the poem (Qasidah) to the Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who when touched the paralyzed part of his body and threw his cloak over him. On awakening, Imam al-Busairi discovered he had been miraculously cured of his paralysis.
