Description :

This is a meticulous book, compiled by Al-Qadi Abul Fadl 'Iyad, may Allah have mercy upon him, comprising the incumbent duties which are due on a Muslim towards the Prophet, may Allah's peace and Blessings be upon him, for Allah the Supreme said concerning him, ''He who Obeys the Messenger [Muhammad]; has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then wehave not sent you [O Muhammad] as a watcher over them.''

Kitab Ash-shifa bi tarif huquq al-Mustafa, (Ash-Shifa, for short) also translated as 'Healing by the Recognition of the Rights of the Chosen One' by Imam Qadi Iyad, rahmatullahi 'alayhi, is perhaps the most frequently used and most commented upon handbook in which the Beloved Prophet, May Allah bless him and grant him peace, life, his qualities and miracles are described in every detail.


     ***Part One : Allah's Great Estimation of the Worth of His Prophet
           expressed in both Word and Action,
     ***Part Two : Concerning the Rights which people owe the Prophet,
           may Allah bless him & grant him peace,
     ***Part Three : On what is obligatory for the Prophet, may Allah
           bless him and grant peace
, and what is impossible for him, and
           what is forbidden for him and what is valid in those human matters
           which can be ascribed for him,
     ***Part Four : The Judgements Concerning those who think the Prophet,
           imperfect or curse him, may Allah bless him & grant peace,



This classic book is highly admired throughout the Muslim world and is quick to acquaint the reader with the true stature of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.


This work was so highly admired throughout the Muslim world that it soon acquired a sanctity of its own - for it is said:
 

"If Ash-Shifa is found in a house, this house will not suffer any harm...when a sick person reads it or it is recited to him, Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, will restore his health."   


 


The Author : Qadi 'Iyad : (476 – 544 AH/1083 – 1149 CE)

Qadi Iyad bin Musa, 'alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan, or Abu al-Fadl Ayyad bin Amer bin Musa bin Ayyad bin Muhammed bin Abdellah bin Musa bin Ayyad al-Yahsubi al-Sabti (1083 - 1149) was born in Gibraltar. Al-Yahsubi refers to Yahob a region in Yemen. He was a pupil of Abu Abdullah bin Issa, of Imam Abu Abdullah bin Hamdine, of Abu al-Hasan bin Siradj and of Imam Abu al walid ibn Rushd. Qadi Iyad was appointed as a senior judge (Qadi) in Grenada, and was one of the most famous scholars of Maliki law. Qadi Ayyad bin Moussa is one of the seven saints of Marrakesh and is buried near Bab Aïlen. He authored many books but his main work is Ash-Shifa. The University of Marrakech (Cadi Ayyad) was named after him.
