Miraaj-e-Mustafa: Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad to the presence of Almighty Allah

Paperback - 60 pages                                                                              by Sajid ul-Hashemi

Almighty Allah sent about 124,000 Prophets alayhim as-'salam for the guidance of mankind. He gifted all of them some miracles. These miracles were sound evidences on their Prophethood. Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam is the Essence of the Universe. Truly, he was bestowed with all miracles of the past Prophets alayhim as-'salam. Furthermore, he was presented unique miracles in abundance. The Mi'raj is one of those unique Miracles.

It is only Our Beloved Prophet Muhammad
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam who saw Almighty Allah with his own physical eyes whilst awake.  Allahu Akhbar!

Belief in the Unseen represents a major and essential part of Islam. When we review the key principles of Islam such as belief in Allah, the Hereafter, Paradise and Hell, angels and jinn, past prophets and books, we find that all these issues are
ghayb (unseen) and need unshakable conviction in the Beloved Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam's truthfulness.

The Night Journey and Ascension (Al-Isra' wa Al-Mi'raj) posed a crucial test for early Muslims to assess their belief in the Unseen. This journey brought to light the unshakeable, firmly rooted faith of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq Radi Allahu ta'ala anhu and the weak faith of some other people who rejected Islam totally once they heard the story.

The Mi'raj is not only one miracle it is a compound of miracles. Here is the story of Mi'raj mentioned by Allah Almighty's Beloved Messenger
Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam.

''The proofs and transmitted texts have been established as authentic in the highest degree that the Allah's Most Beloved (Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam) is Alive and Tender ... that he fasts and performs pilgrimage every year, and that he purifies himself with water which rains on him.'' ---Al-Haytami, Al-Jawhar al-Munazzam.

Al-Sayyid Muhammad ibn 'Alawi al-Maliki alayhir rahman was a contemporary Saudi Arabian scholar of Qur'anic interpretation, Prophetic traditions, Islamic jurisprudence, tenets of faith and the biography of the Beloved Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam and was undoubtedly the most highly acclaimed and respected scholar in Makkah.

A descendant of the Prophet Muhammad Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam, Muhammad ibn 'Alawi May Allah be pleased with him was born in 1947 to a family of the Maliki traditional school of thought. The Isra' and Mi'raj - The Prophets Night Journey and Ascent into Heaven

Paperback - 53 pages                                                                               by Abd 'allah Hajjaj

Description:
The author has selected from the
Fath al-Bari a collection of Hadith on the Isra' and Mi'raj [The Prophets Night Journey].

This night journey of the Beloved of Allah
May Allah bless him and grant him peace is to Jerusalem and the Heavens from Makkah. This important work covers every aspect of this special journey through the seven Heavens and his meeting with the previous Prophets Peace be upon them.

Conclusion from the book:
The generally accepted view is that the
Isra' and Mir'aj occurred on the same night, and took place when the Beloved Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam, was awake, not in a dream. The Beloved Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam travelled phsically, not metaphorically.

During his ascent to Heaven, he met with earlier Prophets Peace be upon them and saw some of the features of that other world. At this time the daily prayers were enjoined upon the Muslim Ummah, and according to many scholars, the Beloved Prophet Salla Allahu 'alayhi wa Sallam saw his Lord.
