Description :

Al-Ghunyah li Talibi Tariq al-Haqq - 'Sufficient Provision for Seekers of the Path of Truth' is a complete resource on tasawwuf compiled by Al-Ghawth Al-A'zam, Sayyadina as-Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, alayhi ar-Rahman w'al-Ridwan.

In this monumental work, which is split into two volumes, the venerable shaykh, radi Allahu ta'ala anhu, provides a comprehensive exposition of both the outer and inner aspects of Islam. His words shed light on the workings of the spiritual core of the human being, as well as on the traditional norms of external conduct. 'The proper attitude to going on a journey,' - he tells the Seeker of the Path of Truth, 'is best described in the language of spiritual experience ....''

Sultan al-Awliya; Muhiy'ad-Din Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani al-Hasani w'al-Husayni, may Allah sanctify his secret, was born near the Caspian Sea, in a town called Jilan. He is one of the most venerated figures in Islam.

The venerable Ghawth 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, may Allah sanctify his secret, is noted for his extraordinary spiritual experiences and exploits, as well as his memorable sayings and wise teachings. It is rightly said of him that 'he was born in love, grew in perfection, and met his Lord in the perfection of love.

The shaykh passed on to the Realm of Divine Beauty in 561A.H /1166 C.E and his mausoleum in Baghdad attracts millions of pilgrims from throughout the globe.
