Imam Jalaluddin Al-Suyuti (c. 1445-1505 CE) (Arabic: جلال الدين السيوطي) also known as Ibn al-Kutb (son of books) was an Egyptian writer, a religious scholar adhering to the shafi'i madhhab, juristic expert & teacher whose works deal with a wide variety of subjects in Islamic theology. He was one of the most prolific writers in his era, and is perhaps the most well-known author of the latter times. He left behind at least a book in every branch of Islamic science.
