Description :

Al-Wafa bi Sharh al-Astifah min Asma'i al-Mustafa, ﷺ, is a classical collection of 530 blessed names (with their commentaries) of the Beloved Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, (al-Asma al-Mustafa).

This work is one of the most comprehensive accounts of Prophetic names. It is compiled by the renowned scholar Imam Abd al-Basit al-Bulqini, whose household and predecessors have a lengthy history of Islamic scholarship.

Based on many works, it has an extensive analysis with takhrij. It also contains index pages for the Names of Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala,  that somehow correlate with that of the Beloved Prophet, ﷺ.

This is a large volume, above average print quality with cream paper.

About the Author :

He is Imam 'Abd al-Basit ibn Muhammad al-Bulqini al-Shafi'i [d.923h].

The al-Bulqini scholarly family was an influential dynasty of Shafiʿi judges, law professors, and administrators in Mamluk Syria and Egypt beginning in the mid-eighth/fourteenth century. While the Bulqini's held several minor judicial positions in Bulqina, a village in the central Egyptian delta province of Gharbiyya, it was not until ʿUmar b. Raslan b. Nāṣir b. Saliḥ Siraj al-Dīn (d. 805/1403) moved to Cairo that the family rose to prominence. ʿUmar had studied with some of the most accomplished scholars of his time.
