Sunan Abi Dawood is one of the six most authentic collections (Sihah Sitta) of the Ahadith (Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sahih al-Tirmidhi, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan Abu Dawud, and Sahih al-Nisa'i).


This 5 Volume Set has 4800 Hadith (selected from a mass of 50,000) divided into many  different subjects, each Section there-in containing many Ahadith. The numbering system used by Imam Abu-Dawud is consecutive and uninterrupted for the entire collection




Imam Abu Dawood : He is Abu Dawud Sulayman bin Al-Ash’ath bin Ishaq Al-Azdi As-Sijistani, may Allah be pleased with him, who was one of the eminent Imam of Hadith, born in 202H. He studied hadith under Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, may Allah be pleased with him, along with Imam al-Bukhari and taught many of the later scholars of hadith, like Imam at-Tirmidhi and Imam an-Nasa’i, Radi Allahu ta'ala anhum.


Imam Abu-Dawud lived a couple of centuries after the Beloved Prophet, Salla Allahu ta'ala 'alayhi wa Sallam's demise and worked extremely hard to collect his ahadith. Each report in his collection was checked for compatibility with the Qur'an, and the veracity of the chain of reporters had to be painstakingly established.





This is a later print edition, with the title 'zigsaw' finish on the spine.
